Winter Warm Up…

Here are some decorating ideas to keep you warm and inspired through this cold winter…

Create warmth and coziness by adding some pillows and a soft throw in wool, cashmere and velvet.

Consider layering your bed with an extra warm blanket.   Wool and cashmere are always a great choice.

Havens South Designs loves imagining a french bed, cashmere striped blanket and a hide on the floor!

Consider modifying your color scheme to bring in warm rich jewel tones.

Velvet, texture, and warm palette of jewel-toned color is introduced in the furnishings and art. Bright verdant greenery for contrast. Library House – Jessica Helgerson Interior Design.

Little details like adding a winter scent or fresh seasonal flowers can also inspire you and take through the long, cold days of winter.

Winter bouquet: spreading branches (olive, Atlas cedar, magnolia, pine, or juniper), blossoms (amaryllis, magnolia, camellia, tulip) and berries (tallow, winterberry, privet, or holly). Some narcissuses added for fragrance.

…and of course, nothing beats curling up by a warm fire…
