Fig Interiors was featured in the latest issue of Canadian Home Trends Magazine
Fig Interiors is proud to have one of our design projects featured in the October issue of Canadian Home Trends.
We had the wonderful opportunity to design a living room for a young family in the Annex.
As with every project, we began by gathering an understanding our clients’ needs, lifestyle, and style preferences. In this case, we learned that our clients have a strong appreciation of culture, art: especially the work of independent artisans (local and abroad). Their style can be described as contemporary, leaning towards modern. They also have an appreciation for pieces that are unique and different and have character. The family was not using the living room as they felt it wasn’t comfortable; nor did it reflect their tastes and who they were.
As a result, we created a modern/contemporary living room that reflected the couple’s appreciation for “indy” pieces. The space balanced their tastes for modern, clean design with comfort and family friendliness. As well, it was important that the design worked with, and be respectful, of the heritage and original, traditional elements of the house.
The end result is a comfortable, inviting, family friendly living room that everyone is now able to enjoy.
