Beautiful, meaningful artwork that inspired the design

We had the pleasure of transforming another one of our client’s spaces.

Every project we have the privilege of working on is special and unique in its own way.

In the case of this project, the beauty and inspiration for it was my clients’ fantastic artwork collection.

Our goal was to create an inviting, classic contemporary space that balanced a feeling of freshness and warmth, with a sense of understated, refined elegance.  We wanted to ensure the space was meaningful and reflective of my clients’ love of art, travel and culture.

Here is the artwork that inspired the design:

Using the artwork as a jumping off point, we found this stunning lamp.

We added energy and colour to a neutral palette using toss cushions and accent pieces.

Whenever possible, I love repurposing our clients’ existing furniture pieces.  In this case, we “up cycled” their cabinet that was previously in their dining room.

We love the combination of the very pale lavender linen throw and velvet cushion, which subtly tie back to the pieces of art.

My client wanted a place where he could sit and listen to music, so we created this comfortable area just for him.

We added accessories to pull everything together, which really completed the space.

My clients are so happy with their new space!

…it always gives us such great pleasure to be able help our our clients achieve their design goals so they can fully enjoy their homes….it’s such a great feeling!!
